We manufacture these plates using S355J2G3. This structural steel is non-alloy steel. EN 10025:1990 is the steel standard. The current standard for these steel plates is EN 10025-2:2004. These plates are thus tested at minus 20 centigrade to test its impact resistance. This universal corrosion resistance material is the widely popular grade for manufacturing plates. Our plates thus exhibit excellent corrosion resistance. This can be seen in a variety of severe environments. Both reducing and oxidizing environments are not an issue for these plates. They can even resist high levels of chemicals including most harsh and toxic ones. Nitric, organic, inorganic, sulphuric, acetic, formic, chlorides, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid show no impact on these plates due to their exceptional resisting abilities. Also, they are good to work in stress corrosion cracking, crevice, and pitting environments. Hence, OFFSHORE STEEL S355J2G3 PLATES have great demand in marine industries. Marine water corrosion is not a problem for these plates especially the crevice conditions. Our plates possess medium tensile strength. Good impact strength, and readily weldability are characteristics of these plates at sub-zero temperatures. Normalized and untreated are the common conditions in which we supply these plates. A slight modification is done in some variant of these plates. Since they are lightweight and durable, our plates last longer. At SSSM Group, quality tests are conducted to detect faults, characteristics, and properties of the plates. Both impact tests and material tests are performed on these plates. Hardness test, hydro testing, flaring test, radiography, flattening test, destructive/non-destructive test falls under the category of impact tests. Positive material identifications, pitting corrosion tests, IGC, chemical composition analysis, and more are material tests.
