HOT ROLLED IS 2062 E450 PLATES are readily fabricated and weldable through the usual fabrication and welding techniques. These are majorly drawn from the cold and hot drawing process. At the reducing atmosphere, these plates are offering very good resistance to corrosion ability.

The annealing and hot working process is performed for achieving the structural plates with no faults. This material is ductile and can be formed readily. These IS 2062 plates are pitting resistive in the phosphoric and acetic acid and other inorganic and organic acids. These plates are resistant to crevice corrosion and pitting at the greater level of chloride atmospheres.

IS 2062 E450 E-grade is the Indian standard that is covering the steel requirements counting the micro-alloyed steel plates. This standard earlier was known as IS226 and now it is known by another name that is IS2062. This grade is mainly meant for structural purposes.
