ASTM 606 TYPE 4 Corrosion Resistant Steel PLATES are made from weathering steel that is also known as HSLA. Our plates are of importance in weight savings and corrosion resistant applications. Addition of alloying elements like copper, nickel, chromium, and silicon enhances the properties of plates. They specially work on their corrosion capabilities. In ice, fog, rain, and snow atmospheric conditions orange-brown oxidation is formed on the plate’s surfaces. This work as a coating on the surface and hence painting and further protection is not needed. The dust and other harmful elements cannot penetrate into the steel’s body. And they don’t get affected. Unique properties of our plates are greater strength capabilities. The wall thickness is kept light. They are stronger than regular carbon steel plates. Their corrosion-resistance index is 6.0. The ASTM 606 TYPE 4 PLATES have patina finish. They get full patina finish in dry cyclic and wet cyclic working environment.
